Game Engine: Unreal5

This is a project I participated in in the 2023 global game jam (GGJ). The theme of the game is "Roots". The idea of the game is to let the player act as a dandelion, wandering around and looking for his own roots.

MY ROLE

  • Technical Artist

My responsibilities in the project are technical art and environment art, responsible for the development of VFX, shader, scene materials and scene design and construction in the game

Here's what I've done in my project:

Environment setup, VFX, and shader apply in level 1

Glow shader for dandelion

Leaf fall VFX using Niagara system

Cartoon grass material setup and apply in project terrain

Level2

Level 3 and raining VFX

Raining VFX using Niagara system
